Bertrand Serlet is stepping down as Vice President of Mac Software Engineering. We at TPS report are sad to see him go. On a personal note, Bertrand Serlet rescued me from the confounding world of the Windows Operating System. What I once saw as an impenetrable mess – namely external device connectivity, system preferences (still have nightmares about navigating the Windows “Control Panel”), and networking, I now feel confident solving problems.
Serlet’s legacy was sealed for me when he joined Steve Jobs in having a laugh at Microsoft’s attempts to copy Mac’s various versions of operating systems. He even comes off as funny in a second language. Check out the video here. Congratulations on a job well done, Bertrand.
